Driving while female redux

Yesterday, a group of men who are working on clearing out a space across the road from my friends, were seated taking a break. They applauded and shouted out their approval when I successfully pulled my somewhat battered Mazda pickup out of the drive, which is narrow, sloping, rocky, and rutted, and onto the roadway in one single move -- not the easiest of feats, as there is shrubbery along the passenger side, blocking visibility, and the roadway is also sloped and curving. It's remarkable enough, in some men's view, that a woman can turn an ignition key, get a car started, shift into first gear and drive forward. Anything more complex, such as driving in reverse or maneuvering into a parking spot, is nothing short of miraculous.
